LUVERNE, MN – A feedlot implant clinic has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 5th from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Binford Feedlot in Luverne, Minnesota. This free, hands-on clinic, is presented by Form-A-Feed and Zoetis Animal Health and will provide beef producers an opportunity to learn about proper implant management strategies.

The clinic will feature four presentations from industry experts including: Dr. Ty Lawrence from West Texas A&M University; Effects of Implants on Cattle Performance and Carcass Quality, Dr. Brian Dorcey from Zoetis Animal Health; Implant Checks and What Misplaced Implants Mean to Your Performance including a demonstration with cadaver ears, Troy Brown from Form-A-Feed; Feedstuff Quality and Management Impacts on Feed Production. Zoetis Animal Health and Binford Feedlot will also demonstrate chute side implanting techniques on live cattle.

Lunch is included and will be grilled by the Rock Nobles Cattleman. The clinic also qualifies for Minnesota Beef Quality Assurance re-certification.

Binford feedlot is located at 1377 170th Avenue, Luverne, Minnesota.
